Who we are

This website is operated by Christopher Gardner, an independent researcher operating TAR Research (“we”, “us”, “our”). For any privacy enquiry, contact us via the contact page.

What data we collect

When you submit a research question via the Submit a Question form, you may provide:

  • Your name (optional)
  • Your email address (optional)
  • A research area selection (optional)
  • Your research question (required)
  • Additional context (optional)

This website does not set any cookies. We do not use tracking pixels, analytics scripts, or advertising networks. No personal data is collected unless you choose to submit it through the research question form.

How we use your data

Information submitted via the research question form is used solely to:

  • Review your question for potential inclusion in the TAR research queue
  • Reply to you, if you provided an email address and your question warrants a response

Your email address is never added to a mailing list, shared with third parties, or used for marketing.

How your data is transmitted

Form submissions are processed by Formspree, a third-party form service. Your submission is forwarded by Formspree to the TAR Research operator by email. Formspree’s own privacy policy governs how they handle data in transit; please review it at formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy.

Data retention

Email correspondence containing your submission is retained for as long as it is relevant to the research programme, typically no longer than two years. If you provided an email address and your question is not taken up, we will not retain your details beyond what is needed to reply.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Object to or restrict processing

To exercise any of these rights, contact us via the contact page. We will respond within 30 days.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top of this page reflects when changes were last made. Continued use of this website after changes constitutes acceptance.
